                      Attention All 7th – 12th Graders!

 

All Are Welcomed Here!

All 7th through 12th graders are invited to participate in EYC (EYC= Episcopal Youth Community, aka: Youth Group). You don’t have to be a member of St. Andrew’s to participate. We encourage you to join the fun!   Regular meetings are the first & third Thursdays of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. except in July & August.  We have community service (Great for those high school transcripts!) projects and fun activities monthly also.  Spread the word!  Bring a friend or two!

January 19th – Journey Program: 9 a.m. Downstairs of the Parish Hall.

January 20th – No School Martin Luther King Day

 

January 23rd EYC Meeting: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Parish Hall. “Chinese New Year” Night! Bring a Friend!

 

January 26th Annual Parish Meeting; Only 1 service = 9 a.m. All Journey & EYC members asked to attend together.

Youth Council Members: Decorate for Bishop’s Ball 3 to 6 p.m. at Trinity Cathedral. Call Lucy if you want to carpool.

 

January 31st 55th Annual Diocese Annual Bishop’s Ball at Trinity Cathedral. It’s Bishop Chip Stokes first ball – let’s make it a good one! Register on the Diocese of NJ website. (REGISTER ASAP – they need to order food. Cost is $20 per person. Open to everyone. Monies raised go to the Van Duzer Scholarship Fund.

February 2nd “SOUPER” BOWL SUNDAY! The EYC has been collecting soup & other non-perishable foods for the last few years on Super Bowl Sunday. We have so much in our lives; let’s collect some foods from our friends, neighbors and family so others may have something to celebrate. CHALLENGE FOR EYC: That this is the largest collection yet! Ask everyone to give you a can – what’s the worse they could tell you?  Goal is 150 items.

 

February 6th – No EYC Meeting tonight – going to musical 2/7.

 

February 7th National Wear Red Day to bring awareness to others, to make it their mission to reduce the        #1 killer in women; heart disease.  February is American Heart Association Month- wear your reds proud.

 

February 7th; EYC is going to see the musical “South Pacific” at Pemberton Twsp. High School (Geoffrey & Lucy’s school).  Show starts at 7 p.m. Cost $5 for students & seniors.  $8 for Adults.  Call if you want to carpool.

The musical also will be showing on 2/8 at 7 p.m. and on 2/9 at 2 p.m.

 

 

 

 

 

 

February 8th       Annual Acolyte Festival at Trinity Cathedral. Starts at 9:30.  ALL ALCOYLTES are strongly encouraged to attend.  (It doesn’t matter if you just joined or have been serving for a long time.)  Snacks, lunch & tee-shirt included.  If you haven’t already given your name, contact the Church office or Mr. Vaughn.  EYC members: Let Keith Adams know if you need a ride.

 

February 13th – EYC Meeting: “Heart Night” 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  (Note; changed mtg. to this wk, due to lock-in.)  Let Geoffrey know if you are attending; need count for food.

 

February 16th Coffee Hour: the Journey class will be working coffee hour after the 10 a.m. service today.  This is part of the tithing commitment they made during our Church Pledge Month.

 

   Overnight Lock-in – Friday, Feb. 21:

“Who Am I”

Friday 6:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday. Bring bedroll or sleeping bag, tioletries, hand towel, appropriate sleepwear, footwear must be worn at all times (except for sleeping) & be ready for some fun.      Please leave electronics home!  Permission slips are needed.

LOOKING AHEAD:

April 17th: The 3rd Annual Maundy Thursday Overnight Lock-In & Garden Watch.

May: Journey Pilgrimage to the National Cathedral, Washington, D.C.  Dates to follow. Need commitment from members & parents.  Fundraiser information will be forthcoming.
