Chris Miller and I will be keeping you up to date on what is going on behind the scenes as we begin our journey to find a full time rector; but before we get to that stage, we first must find an interim rector.
The Office of Transition Ministry (OTM), in Trenton, will assist us in every step of this journey, so we are not alone. The process has now been reduced, with the hope that a new rector will be called within 12 months, once an interim rector is in place. Part of the Interim Rector’s training and job duty is to help guide us to this and to keep us on track. For that reason, the Vestry and the Wardens feel it is very important to obtain an interim rector that will be the best candidate to assist us, along with a good fit for the needs of St. Andrew’s parishioners.
Chris and I have begun to interview possible interims as the OTM has provided us with four possible rectors. Before an interim can be hired, Vestry must approve of the selection.
If at any time, you have questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to Chris, a vestry person, or myself. We will try and answer any questions you may have.
I would like to thank Kris Carroll, St. Andrew’s Parish Administrator, for all of her hard work in obtaining supply priests from now until we find an interim. She has worked extremely hard to do this. A list of services and the scheduled rector is available each week in the announcements.
Please keep the Wardens and Vestry in your prayers as we begin our journey.
