Understanding Alzheimer’s

Sacred Heart RC Church is sponsoring a special event this fall and the parishioners of Saint Andrew’s have been invited to participate.  The event is designed to provide insight and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease.  On Sunday, October 2nd @ 1; 30pm the film Still Alice will be shown at the Burlington County Library Auditorium (5 Pioneer Blvd., Westhampton, NJ). The film is based on the novel by Lisa Genova. Still Alice is a story about a brilliant professional woman (Alice Howland) who has been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease at age 50.  The impact of the disease on Alice and on her family is explored in both the novel and in the film, and will be the focus of a panel discussion that will follow the viewing of the film which will be facilitated by Deacon James Casa (Sacred Heart RC church) and Lee Gillis (Executive Director of Brookdale Senior Living in Florence, NJ). Please call Deacon Jim Casa with any questions or for additional information about the event (609-702-1848, ext. 305).
