The Rev. Canon John C Belmont
Jack Belmont, a lifelong Episcopalian, was born and raised in Ewing Township, New Jersey. He graduated from Rider University in 1968 with a B.A. in Secondary Ed., and from the Philadelphia Divinity School with an M.Div. in 1971. He was ordained to the Priesthood in October of 1971 at Trinity Cathedral, Trenton. He received the degree of Master of Sacred Theology from New York Theological Seminary in 1981 with a specialty in Pastoral Counseling.
He served at St. Andrew’s, Camden and St. Luke’s, Gladstone prior to being called as Rector of St. Matthew’s, Pennington in 1976, where he served for 37 years until his retirement in June of 2013.
Jack is also a lifelong member of the Diocese of New Jersey and has been a member of various committees and commissions of the Diocese during his tenure as a priest of the Church which include: the Diocesan Council, the Standing Committee, the Board of Missions, the Cathedral Chapter, the Episcopal Election Committee, the Youth Commission, and is currently the Chair of the Commission on Ministry and Co-chair of the Committee on Priesthood. In May of 2013, Bishop Councell appointed him as an honorary Canon of Trinity Cathedral, Trenton.
Jack and his beloved wife, Sandy, reside in Hopewell Twp. New Jersey. One of the many things Sandy and Jack enjoy doing in retirement is walking in the great outdoors marveling in God’s Creation with their new puppy, Pepper. Sandy, a retired insurance underwriter, is a Master Gardener and a budding artist. She also has a great interest in Spirituality and Centering Prayer. Together, they have attended many conferences throughout the Church and have organized several retreats.
They have four adult children and four grandchildren who are the joy of their life!
The Rev. Tinh T. Huynh
Fr. Tinh is a graduate of Dalat University in Vietnam. He graduated with a M.Div. from the Virginia Theological Seminary in 1994, and served as Rector of Saint Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Falls Church, Virginia until his retirement in 2014. He and his wife (Kim Anh) reside in Columbus, NJ. They have two children; daughter Doan Huynh Tucker (wife of Fr. Matt Tucker who is Rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Bordentown) and son, Jonathan Huynh.
The Rev. Joseph Sweeney, Dcn.
Deacon Joe Sweeney resides in Westampton, NJ along with his wife, Lynn and his Grandson, Tim. His 3 children, Elizabeth (Beth), Paul and Susan are all grown with Beth and Paul living in Florida and Susan living in upstate New York. Deacon Joe is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Flushing, NY. A congregant of St. Andrew’s for 36 + years. Ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in May of 2009.
Deacon Joe is Chaplain of Acacia Hospice (Masonic Village of Burlington) and Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. Along with this Ministry, he also leads the Vesper Service’s occasionally at Medford Leas in Medford, NJ.
